Kentucky Doula Case Study Review
Join fellow Kentucky doulas to sharpen or refresh your birth skills with composite case studies of REAL BIRTHS that happened in our area! Our next meeting will be Thursday, February 25th at 3pm 2021.
Mother Well Doula Service hosts a monthly doula peer development session in which we assess 1-2 birth case studies each month and talk through scenarios with an eye for constructive feedback.
This is in the spirit of ‘peer reviews’ that clinical providers take part in. It is often difficult to have a doula shadow present at the birth, and that’s become impossible during COVID. This is a low-key and accessible way for doulas to ‘talk shop’ through real-life situations, but without the high stakes of being at an actual birth.
In the interest of privacy, I’ll be compositing different birth stories that *really happened* in Kentucky and remove all identifying information.
This will be a 1 hour virtual event. It will be structured and on-time. We will follow the DONA International Code of Ethics in our discussions. The cost to attend a Doula Peer Development session is $10, this helps me pay for the Zoom Pro Plan necessary to conduct it. If you wish to attend and need a scholarship, simply email email@example.com.
